Question

The shaver head of my F5790 will no longer snap down into place.

I have used the shaver for a couple of years, is it worn out?

Thank you contacting Remington. We are sorry to hear about the problems you are experiencing with the head of your shaver not staying in place. We have found through testing that in most cases the cause is from a buildup of debris within the bottom ‘hair pocket’ of your shaver.

To resolve this issue in the future we suggest that you thoroughly clean your shaver underneath the cutter assembly. Start by removing the foil from the top of your shaver, then remove each cutter; we then recommend you use a toothpick and thoroughly clean the corners of the unit. It is very important to clean the area in the ‘grooves’ and around the ‘edges’ where the head assembly fits into place. If you are having trouble cleaning this area with the provided brush we suggest using a toothpick or try running the head of the shaver under cold water.

...okay, I cleaned my F5790 more carefully so that the shaver head now snaps into place, but it will not stay there!!!

As soon as I start it the shaver head rides up and out so that I cannot use it.

Do any of your new razors have the trimmer in the front?

I have a MS3-2700 Titanium model razor. The battery has died and it can only be used when plugged into an outlet. All the replacement models I have seen have a small pop up trimmer on the rear surface. The MS3-2700 trimmer is on the front - much better for trimming my beard.

Question

Replacement foil

My Remington electric shaver does not show a Model No and does not match any illustrated. Only mark is on the inside of the protective head cover showing 'PP 2'.
It has a fixed head with on/off switch centrally placed on opposite side to 'flip out trimmer'.
The only identification that it is a Remington is the name REMINGTON in white on the shaver head followed by an upright white oblong bar.
Living now in Hungary does not bode well for a replacement locally.
Can you assist.

Should the charging light on my new AQ7 stay lit during its initial 24hr charge?

The charging light only stays lit for a few seconds then goes out. I would have expected it to stay lit then change over to the 'full' indicator. Is this a faulty unit?

You can locate the model number of your unit by flipping up the sideburn trimmer. The model number will be printed on the underside of the trimmer in green or black print.
